Can you knit?

South Seeds is looking for knitters and crocheters to help us decorate Queen’s Park station with knitted creations. Come along to one of our ‘knitting sittings’ to get involved and meet other local knitters.

Saturday growing sessions

Come to the Samaritan House garden between 10am and 12 (noon) on any one of the Saturdays between the start of May and the end of October to learn how to grow vegetables and plants.

Annual general meeting

We are delighted to welcome members, southside residents and any other interested people to South Seeds’ eight annual general meeting on Thursday 23 May 2019.

Enjoy a low carbon southside summer?

At our event on Wednesday 13 March at South Seeds’ office, we will be sharing top tips for  low carbon southside summer over sustainable snacks and local networking. Everyone is welcome. Arrive for 6pm to catch the start, we will be done by 7.30pm.

Flexibible energy demand and the future

As well as supporting residents to use electricity and gas more efficiently in their homes, we are working hard to find out more about how energy in the home may change for residents on Glasgow’s southside in the future.

Looking for southside film-makers

South Seeds would like to commission a film-maker to create two films, both less than 3 minutes each and ready to upload to YouTube by 28 March 2019. The films will link South Seeds’ work to the process of slowing down climate change by reducing the amount of carbon which is released to the atmosphere.

Croft winter clean up session

Do you want to see what the Croft looks like? Speak to our expert gardener about what can grow easily in Glasgow? Meet other people interesting in gardening? Spend an afternoon outside working the land?

Adopt-a-bed at the Croft

If you would like to adopt-a-raised bed at the Croft for the 2019 growing season, to produce your own fruit and vegetables, fill out the application form 2019.
