New southside composting facilities
Ever wondered how your potato peelings could help change the world? Wonder no more! You can help create compost by taking them, as well as your other vegetable peelings, tea bags, coffee grounds and even cardboard egg boxes, to South Seeds’ brand new composting hub at Queen’s Drive Lane community garden.

Spring has finally sprung and it’s the perfect time to get outside and get growing! South Seeds is running two gardening sessions each week this growing season. The sessions take place in the two beautiful community gardens we have built, both of which are not too far from Victoria Road.

Does your bike take up too much space in your flat but you can’t store it in your tenement close? Are you stumbling over it in your hallway or living with it in your living room because you don’t have anywhere else to store it?

We are not looking for fridges or washing machines but those small electrical items which are at the back of cupboards or stuck in draws.

South Seeds featured in the all-party fuel poverty and energy efficiency group prospectus highlighting good practice across the UK.
How we support residents to save energy in their homes
We have conducted more than 600 home energy audits on the southside of Glasgow to support residents save energy. Each home is different and the way residents use energy in their homes varies. We have collected a few case studies together to show the range of energy-related issues we have tackled.
