How we support residents to save energy in their homes
We have conducted more than 600 home energy audits on the southside of Glasgow to support residents save energy. Each home is different and the way residents use energy in their homes varies. We have collected a few case studies together to show the range of energy-related issues we have tackled.

Improving Victorian tenement windows
Last year a South Seeds project dramatically improved the lives of residents in Victorian Govanhill tenements by upgrading or replacing their broken and draughty windows.

Come to our office, at the park end of Victoria Road, for a cuppa, cakes from Bakery 47 and a chat about how to save energy in your home on Saturday 28 January between 2pm and 4pm.
Heavy or thermal curtains will help keep the heat in and save you money.
New office on Victoria Road
South Seeds have moved from the small office on Butterbiggins Road to a large corner unit at 514 Victoria Road. Come in and say hello.
Swapping incandescent for LED
We are grateful to Energy Action Scotland for a small grant to allow us to swap incandescent bulbs for LED bulbs when we are delivering home energy audits.
