Funding from the 5p carrier bag charge

South Seeds is delighted to be the recipient of £18,500 raised from the 5p carrier bag charge at Waitrose stores.

Waitrose signed up to Zero Waste Scotland’s Carrier Bag Commitment, ensuring that funds raised from the charge that was introduced by the Scottish Government in October 2014, go to charities across Scotland.

This summer Waitrose will visit one of South Seeds gardens to find out more about South Seeds’ work and hand over the funds. More information in the Evening Times article.
