The Climate Challenge Fund project has now finished. But South Seeds has opportunities for local residents to learn how to plant seeds. South Seeds top gardener, Robin Ashton, has been working with schools to plant up raised beds in playgrounds for a productive growing season.
What a busy month! We have been creating growing space across the Southisde of Glasgow in time for the growing season. Our CCF project finishes this month, however South Seeds will still be around. Give us a call if you would like to be part of our Spring Volunteer Group.
The growing space at Agnew Lane is doubled by volunteers and a path of beach pebbles is installed.
Referrals made to the Universal Home Insulation Scheme and G-Heat. The Southside is warming up!
Energy monitors are loaned out and home energy checks are performed for residents. South Seeds moves office to Butterbiggins Road, come and visit us.
Garlic planters are offered to Southside residents in Govanhill, Crosshill, Strathbungo and Queen’s Park. Hope you are in when we knock the door.
Crosshill Station is furnished with raised beds to brighten it up for all the rail travellers.
