Improving Victorian tenement windows

This report tells the story of Raymond, Maria, Rashia and Sylvia who all received either double or secondary glazing through a one off South Seeds project. There are also top tips for improving your windows.

Finding out what residents think

South Seeds successfully applied to the Climate Challenge Fund for a development grant to conduct some consultation with local residents on waste and transport issues. We did street surveys, consultation workshops and monitored local social media groups. Our six page report explains how we consulted and what residents told us.

Tenement special report: Managing food waste in Berlin

This investigation into food-waste disposal from multi-occupancy buildings in an ethnically diverse area of Berlin highlights some lessons that Glasgow could learn as it embarks on rolling out food waste collections in tenements.

Tenement food waste – let’s get it sorted

This eight-page publication examines the issues and solutions around collecting and reducing food waste in tenement flats in Glasgow, including the sharing of collection facilities. This is our first step in highlighting the issue, and how we can all take positive steps to reduce waste and the size of our food bills.
