How to Volunteer with South Seeds
There are a number ways people can volunteer with South Seeds.
- During the growing season (April to October) we run regular gardening sessions at community gardens we have developed in the area. If you want to know more about what is currently available either call the office or fill in the enquiry form below
- Some volunteers get involved in delivering projects. South Seeds run a number of projects which delver improvements to the area, we are often looking for volunteers to assist us, give us a call and arrange to come in for a cuppa and a chat to learn more about our current range of projects.
- Become a crofter! South Seeds has developed the Urban Croft near Queen’s Park recreation ground, each year we advertise for residents to take on a raised bed for growing fruit and vegetables. No previous experience required. For more information fill in the enquiry form below
- While we get many enquiries from students to get involved with South Seeds, we find that we may not have enough support to offer a student wanting a structured volunteering opportunity within a limited timeframe. Local residents who have office or research skills to offer us and about a day week of time are often more successful at securing a volunteering opportunity with us. We are grateful to hear from anyone with experience of living on the Southside and time to offer.
