Croft winter clean up session
Do you want to see what the Croft looks like? Speak to our expert gardener about what can grow easily in Glasgow? Meet other people interesting in gardening? Spend an afternoon outside working the land?
Talking about climate change
South Seeds and Bike for Good collaborated to share information about climate change with residents on Glasgow’s southside.
Working in collaboration with local organisations
Simona was referred to South Seeds by Katarina, the community support officer at Govanhill Housing Association. Simona, her partner and their three young children were living in a privately rented flat that was bought by Govanhill Housing Association as part of an area improvement scheme.
Disposing of batteries
Batteries contain toxic chemicals and should not be added to household waste. Many shops and nearly all supermarket have facilities to dispose of spent batteries. If you can’t see the facility in the shop, simply ask a member of staff.
New southside composting facilities
Ever wondered how your potato peelings could help change the world? Wonder no more! You can help create compost by taking them, as well as your other vegetable peelings, tea bags, coffee grounds and even cardboard egg boxes, to South Seeds’ brand new composting hub at Queen’s Drive Lane community garden.
