Over 20 Staff from The Scottish Government’s Housing Services and Regeneration Division descended on South Seeds in early March. We entertained them with information about what we do and answered their questions. Ann Nelson, the Head of Division, described us as a “Powerhouse”, which we think might be positive.
Housing and in particular tenure is important to South Seeds work. In our project area the domestic properties are spilt equally by tenure: a third social rented, a third owner occupied and a third private lets. We have developed approaches to work effectively with Registered Social Landlords, owners and private landlords to reduce energy bills.
We hope we have helped inform the Scottish Government’s Housing and Regeneration Division about some of the complex issues within the community in the South of Glasgow.
