We have recently been given written permission to create a new community garden along Queen’s Drive Lane which you can access from Langside Road in the Queen’s Park area. Over the last couple of weeks we have been talking with local residents about the potential of the site.
On Sunday the 16th of February we organised the first meet up on the site. The day was a real success with over 30 residents helping to pick up litter and clear out weeds. Within a couple of hours the team had cleared the site and had created a large pile of bagged rubbish and bulk items for the Council to uplift. We’re planning more meet ups in the coming weeks and hopefully by spring we’ll have the garden set up and ready to grow.
